As an aspect of Robert Aitken’s epic New Music Concerts in Toronto which endured for many years, Bob would sometimes arrange for “side events” such as this extended conversation between John Cage and me. Bob introduced us and then we had a cordial, wide-ranging discussion: macrobiotic cooking, the sources of his creativity, overcoming illness, shared experiences, and so on.
